New Year's Eve: the best tables for 2026/2027
Hamburg's kitchens hit top form on the last night of the year. At the very top: Christoph Rüffer serves seven courses with foie gras, lobster and Frisian wagyu at Haerlin. In the same house, Jahreszeiten Grill offers lobster cocktail with Ossetra caviar and sole with a glass of champagne, while Nikkei Nine serves sushi, sashimi and A5 wagyu. Both even offer à la carte at the early seating. Across the Alster, Heritage is all about sharing: long tables for up to eight guests, beef fillet Rossini, a dessert buffet and champagne at midnight.
If you'd rather mingle than sit, you can choose between three kitchen parties: at 100/200 Kitchen with views across the city, at Landhaus Scherrer with turbot, dishes from the Big Green Egg, drinks and homemade Berliner doughnuts, and at Jellyfish, which this year moves to the Outer Alster with up to six food stations.
Things are quieter in the Altes Land: Danny and Kerstin Riewoldt host a New Year's Eve dinner at one big table at ZeiT Genusswerkstatt, including aperitif, cheese and digestif. Witwenball serves six courses with a champagne aperitif and sends its guests off at 11 pm, just in time for the fireworks. And at the Brasserie in TORTUE, à la carte dining continues until 2 am.
