VINEYARD combines wine trade and wine bar in a particularly enjoyable way. In a former wine warehouse in Eimsbüttel, industrial charm, wine expertise and unfussy bistro cooking meet a concept that delights wine lovers: over 700 bottles are on the list at shop price plus corkage.
„The unfussy bistro cooking is entirely geared towards the wine. Evening platters, flammkuchen and small dishes to share meet regional specialities such as pastrami from the Lüneburg Heath or goat's cheese from Ziegenhof Bachenbruch. Particularly good for groups: the Weinlager arrangement with a large evening platter and a “Tour de Fromage”.“
Rustic wooden tables, a long counter, a leather-furniture lounge and a crackling fireplace create a surprisingly cosy atmosphere within the clean-lined factory setting. In summer, many guests are drawn to the green wine garden.
Wine, naturally, plays the lead role here. Over 50 wines are available by the glass, and more than 700 bottles come straight from the attached wine shop, served at shop price plus €15 corkage – a concept that's virtually unique in Hamburg. A bottle of water comes along as a matter of course.
Every Saturday, it's “Day Drinking & Austernbar” – fresh oysters, great wines and a relaxed atmosphere.
