Since 1893, Schlachterbörse has been one of Hamburg's great restaurant legends. Run by the Süße family since 1971, this steakhouse with a long tradition combines the finest meat quality with a hospitality that has won over generations of Hamburgers.

„First-timers should order a classic steak or the chateaubriand for two. And take a moment to look around every room: the photographs on the walls tell a piece of Hamburg's culinary and cultural history.“
Wood-panelled rooms, historical photographs and a lived history give Schlachterbörse its own particular aura. Udo Jürgens, the Bee Gees and Uwe Seeler once dined here – today, Hamburg regulars and visitors from around the world meet at these storied tables.
Uncompromising meat quality is at the heart of it all. The Süße family still buys personally at the nearby abattoir, relying on the finest cuts and classic steakhouse cooking. Chateaubriand for two, perfectly cooked steaks, sauce béarnaise, spinach and fried potatoes are among the house's timeless classics.
For over five decades, the Süße family has run the restaurant into its second generation with great consistency and the ambition to welcome every guest as though it were their first visit – or their hundredth. Quality, reliability and warmth aren't slogans here, but everyday practice.
