Breakfast, lunch, coffee and cake, aperitif time and dinner – all in consistently high quality, seven days a week (only the restaurant takes a break on Sunday evenings). Nice drinks menu focused on aperitifs (Kalte Ente, Hugo's Favorite, Passion Fruit Spritz), cocktails, and its own wine list upon request. Non-alcoholic drinks and cocktails are always available too, along with Ratsherrn beer and König Ludwig Weizen.
Herzstück has what distinguishes all restaurants and cafés run by Hamburg restaurateur Hannes Schröder: his concept appeals to everyone. With unfussy dishes that everyone enjoys. Vegetarian and vegan options are always considered, and much of the vegetables used comes from his own farm.
