For 31 years, Come Prima ("like before") has been one of Hamburg's great Italian classics. An old-school family restaurant that still wins people over with warm hospitality, excellent produce and timeless Italian cooking. A place where regulars feel just as at home as first-time discoverers.

With Riccardo Gonzo's retirement in 2026, a new chapter began for Come Prima. His wife Aleksandra, head chef Vincenzo and the familiar team are guiding the change of generations with care. There is really only one thing to wish this special place: that it keeps as much of its character and its strengths as possible – "come prima!"
